Double Dose

For a family, receiving a cancer diagnosis is devastating. Imagine when it happens to not one, but two people in the same family at the same time.

That’s what Davin and Diane Seay are up against. Though I don’t know Davin well, we’ve run in the same circles in the music industry for a long time. He is undergoing treatment for Multiple Myeloma, including chemotherapy and a vertebroplasty to alleviate his back pain. His wife, Diane, has been in the hospital following a recurrence of breast cancer.

Their three children have set up a giveforward.com campaign fund to help cover their expense. “We’re looking to do what we can to erase any financial burdens that would cause undue stress,” they write.

So far, they’ve raised $7,450, almost $2,500 more than the amount they originally requested. Still, I have to imagine they can use way more than that. The campaign lasts for 35 more days.
